Day 1: Arrive in Lima from your country of origin. On the same day travel to Huaraz and to your hotel.
Day 2: Travel from Huaraz, 3,100 meters, by private transport to Cashapampa, 2,930 meters, where we will meet the muleteer and donkeys to carry our trekking equipment. We will then begin our hike and pay an entrance fee of 10 soles per person which the Cashapampa village charges to maintain the road. We will hike along the Santa Cruz Quebrada along the Yuracmayu river bank until we arrive at Llamacoral camp, 3,760 meters. The hike takes 4-5 hours.
Day 3: Llamacoral, 3,760 meters to Base Camp, 4,250 meters. We will continue hiking along the Santa Cruz Quebrada. The elevation increases 490 meters along the way. We will see the Jatuncocha and Ichiccocha Lagunes. Afterward, we will continue until base camp. The route takes 4-5 hours.
Day 4: Base Camp to Camp 1 on Quitraju, 5,600 meters. The climb takes 6-7 hours.
Day 5: We will leave at 4 a.m. for a guided climb to reach the Quitaraju Summit, 5,947 meters. After the summit, we will return to Camp 1. The climb takes 5-6 hours.
Day 6: Return from Camp 1 to Base Camp. 5-6 hours of hiking.
Day 7: Return from Base Camp to Llamacoral, 3,760 meters. 4-5 hours of hiking.
Day 8: We return through the same valley to Cashapampa, where transportation will be waiting to take us to Huaraz and to your hotel. At the cited date and time for your return trip to Lima, we will transport you from your hotel to the bus station, at which point our services end.
