Cedros Alpamayo To Pomabamba

Day 1: Arrive in Lima from your country of origin. Travel to Huaraz and then to your hotel.
Day 2: Acclimatizing trek outside of Huaraz. Visit Churup Laguna. 4,485 meters.
Day 3: Travel from Huaraz, 3,100 meters, to Hualcayan, 2,900 meters. We will begin our hike on a zig zag road until we arrive at Huishcash Camp, 4,000 meters. The hike takes approximately 5-6 hours.
Day 4: Huishcas, 4,000 meters to Osoruri, 4,170 meters. On this day we travel over the first Pass Torpishtanan, 4,850 meters. There is an 850 meter elevation increase from camp to the pass. From the pass you will see the snowcapped Santa Cruz mountains and the Cullicocha Laguna. The hike takes 5-6 hours.
Day 5: Osoruri, 4,230 meters to Jancarurish, 4,220 meters. On this day you will conquer the second high Pass of Alpamayo, 4,750 meters. The elevation increase from camp is 520 meters. After the pass it takes 2 hours to travel through the Alpamayo ravine until arriving at Huishcash camp. The hike takes 4-5 hours.
Day 6: Jancarurish, 4,220 meters to Huilca, 4,180 meters. This is an important day in which we will arrive at the Caracara Pass, 4,830 meters. We climb 650 meters in elevation to reach the pass, where we will see the pyramid of mountains: Alpamayo, 5,947 meters, Santa Cruz, 6,259 meters, Quitaraju, 6,036 meters, among others. The hike takes 6-7 hours.
Day 7: Huilca, 4,180 meters to Jancapampa, 4,100 meters. On this day we travel over the Yanacon Pass, 4,700 meters. We climb 520 meters in elevation to reach the pass. After the pass we descend and walk through the Conchucos Valley between trees and pasture. The hike takes 5-6 hours.
Day 8: Jancapampa, 4,100 meters to Pomabamba, 2,950 meters. We continue the route through the Joncopampa Ravine. In 3-4 hours we arrive at Pomabamba. We leave Pomabamba at 7:30 p.m. It then takes 8 hours by transport to reach Huaraz. We will arrive at 4 a.m. When you wish to return to Lima we will transport you from your hotel to the bus station, at which point our services end.
