High Route up Mt. Diablo

Day 1: Arrive in Lima from your country of origin. On the same day travel to Huaraz and your hotel.
Day 2: Acclimatization day in Huaraz. Visit Laguna Churup, 4,480 meters
Day 3: Travel from Huaraz to Chiquian Llamac, 3,300 meters. Rondoy, 4,170 meters. From Llamac we will begin our hike and meet the muleteer and donkeys who will carry our equipment to Rondoy Camp, 4,170 meters. We will climb 870 meters from Llamac to Rondoy. 5-6 hours of trekking.
Day 4: Rondoy, 4,170 meters to Mitucocha, 4,230 meters. Today we will cross over the first pass, Cashan, 4,810 meters. We will climb 640 meters from our camp to the Pass. After the Pass you will see Pucacocha and Yanacocha Lagunes. The hike takes 4-5 hours to reach camp, which likes next to Mitucocha Lagune. At camp you will see Mt. Ninashanca, 5,607 meters, Mt. Rondoy, 5,870 meters, and Mt. Jirishanca, 6,094 meters.
Day 5: Mitucocha, 4,230 meters to Carhuacocha, 4,280 meters. We will cross over the second pass, Jirishanca, 4,800 meters. We will climb 570 meters from camp to the Pass. At the Pass we will see the north face of Mt. Carnicero, 5,960 m., Mt. Sulla, 6,344 meters, Mt. Yerupaja, 6,634 meters and Toro. The hike will take 5-6 hours until we reach Carhuacocha camp with a view of the said mountains very close.
Day 6: Carhuacocha, 4,280 meters to Huayhuash, 4,300 meters. Today is the hardest day of the trek and we will walk 7-8 hour and climb 520 meters. The route takes us between the 4 lagunas to the lookout. After the lookout we will see the 4 diversely colored lagunas, including Siulacocha, Small Quesillococha, Large Quesillococha, and Asulcocha. An hour and a half after the look out we will arrive at Siula Pass, 4,800 meters, where we will see all the said mountains. Upon descending, we will see Mt. Carnicero, 5,960 meters, Mt. Jurao, 5,600 meters, and Mt. Trapecio, 5,644 meters.
Day 7: Huayhuash, 4,300 meters to Cuyocpampa 4,600 meters. Today we will arrive at the Trapecio Pass, 5,200 meters. We will climb 600 meters and we will pass very close to Mt. Trapecio on the left side and on the right side we will see Mt. Cuyuc. The hike takes approximately 5-6 hours.
Day 8: Cuyocpampa, 4,600 meters to Huayllapa, 3,630 meters. Today we cross San Antonio Pass, 5,200 meters. We climb 600 meters from camp. At the pass we will see the south face of the mountains already mentioned for this trek. After the Pass we will arrive at Jurao Laguna and then continue until we arrive at Huayllapa. The hike takes approximately 6-7 hours.
Day 9: Huayllapa, 3,630 meters to Gashpapampa, 4,490 meters. Today we cross over Tapush Pass, 4,800 meters. We will climb 1,170 meters from Huayllapa. Ten minutes after the Pass, we will see the famous Mt. Diablo Mudo, 5,350 meters. The hike takes 6-7 hours.
Day 10: Gashpapampa, 4,490 meters to Laguna Jahuacocha, 4,100 meters. Today we will depart at 4:00 a.m. We will climb to the summit of Mt. Diablo Mudo, 5,350 meters. After the summit, we will descend to Huacrish Quebrada to Laguna Jahuacocha. The climb takes 9-10 hours.
Day 11: Jahuacocha, 4,100 meters to Llamac, 3,300 meters. We will cross over the last pass, Pampallamac, 4,300 meters. We will climb 200 meters to the pass and then descend 1000 meters to Llamac. Transportation will be waiting for us in Llamac to take us to Huaraz and your hotel. At the cited date and time of your return to Lima, we will pick you up and take you to the bus station, at which point our service ends.
