Day 1: Arrive in Lima from your country of origin. On the same day travel to Huaraz and to the hotel.
Day 2: Travel from Huaraz, 3,100 meters, by private transportation to Cashapampa, 2,930 meters. There we will meet the muleteer and the donkeys that will carry our trekking equipment. We will then begin our hike. After paying the entrance fee of 10 soles per person, we will begin walking the Santa Cruz ravine along the Yurac Mayu river bank until we arrive at the Llama Coral camp, 3,760 meters. The hike takes 4-5 hours.
Day 3: Llamacoral, 3,760 meters to base camp, 4,250 meters. We will continue hiking the Santa Cruz ravine. The elevation increases 490 meters from the camp. On the way we will visit the following Lagunes: Jatuncocha and Ichiccocha. After visiting the Lagunas, we will continue toward base camp. The hike takes 4-5 hours.
Day 4: Base camp to Base Camp 1 on the snowcapped Alpamayo, 5,600 meters. The climbing will take 6-7 hours.
Day 5: On this day we will begin at 4 a.m. We will begin the guided ascent to reach the Alpamayo summit, 5,947 meters. After the summit, we will return to camp 1. The climbing takes 5-6 hours.
Day 6: Travel from Base Camp 1 to Base Camp. The hiking takes 5-6 hours.
Day 7: Return from base camp to Llama Coral, 3,760 meters. 4-5 hours of hiking.
Day 8: We continue, returning by the same valley until we arrive at Cashapampa, where transportation will be waiting to take us to Huaraz and to the hotel. At the cited date and time of your return trip to Lima, we will transport you from your hotel to the bus station, at which point our services end.
