Santa Cruz To Llanganuco

Day 1: Arrive in Lima from your country of origin. Transportation to Huaraz and after to your hotel.
Day 2: Travel from Huaraz, 3,100 meters, in private transport to Cashapampa, 2,930 meters. We will then meet the mulateer and the donkeys who will carry the trekking equipment, and begin our hike. After paying the entrance fee of 10 soles per person which the Cashapampa village charges to maintain the trail, we will begin hiking the Santa Cruz ravine by the Yuracmayu river bank until we arrive at the Llamacoral Camp, 3,760 meters. The hike takes 4-5 hours.
Day 3: Llamacoral 3, 760 meters to Taullipampa, 4,250 meters. We will continue the trail through the Santa Cruz ravine. The elevation increase from camp is 490 meters. On the way we will visit the Lagunas Jatuncocha and Ichicocha. After visiting the Lagunas we will deviate from the trail to go to the Alpamayo lookout where we will see the snowcapped Alpamayo, Quitaraju, Potaca, Aguja, Caraz, Artezonraju, Pyramid and Paria. After observing these beautiful mountains we will continue to camp. The hike takes 5-6 hours.
Day 4: Taullipampa, 4,250 meters to Cachinanpampa, 3,600 meters. On this day we travel over the Punta Union Pass, 4,750 meters. The elevation gain from camp to the Pass is 500 meters. At the Pass we will see the entire valley of the Santa Cruz ravine and the previously mentioned snowcapped mountains. After the pass we descend 1,150 meters through the Huaripampa ravine toward camp. The hike takes 7-8 hours.
Day 5: Cachinanpampa, 3,600 meters to Yanapacccha, 4,260 meters. We will continue on the trail through the Huaripampa ravine to the dairy farm. After the dairy farm we will travel through the Morococha ravine toward camp. The route takes 5-6 hours.
Day 6: Yanapaccha, 4,260 meters to Cebollapampa, 3,900 meters. On this day we will travel over the second Pass, Portacheulo, 4,767 meters. The elevation gain from camp to the Pass is 507 meters. From the Pass there is a spectacular panorama, where you will see the Llanganuco Laguna and the most famous snowcapped mountains of the Cordillera Blanca, such as Chacraraju, Pisco, Huandoys, north and south Huascaran and Chopicallqui. After observing these mountains we will descend to camp. The route takes 5-6 hours.
Day 7: Cebollapampa, 3,900 meters to Laguna 69, 4,650 meters to Huaraz 3,100 meters. On this day we deviate to Laguna 69. This laguna is at the foot of snowcapped Chacraraju. After the laguna, we return on the same route to Cebollapampa, where the transportation awaits us to take us to Huraz and to your hotel. On the day you wish to return to Lima, we will transport you from your hotel to the bus terminal, at which point our service ends.
