Cedros Alpamayo To Santa Cruz

Day 1: Arrive in Lima from your country of origin. Travel to Huaraz city and to your hotel.
Day 2: Acclimatize trek outside of Huaraz. Visit the Churup Lagune, 4,485 meters.
Day 3: Travel from Huaraz, 3,100 meters, to Hualcayan, 2,900 meters. We will then begin our hike on a zig-zag trail until we arrive at the Huishcash camp, 4,000 meters. The route takes approximately 5-6 hours.
Day 4: Huishcash, 4,000 meters. Osoruri, 4,170 meters. We will travel over the first pass, Torphistanan, 4,850 meters. We will climb 850 meters in elevation from our camp. From the Pass, you will see the snowcapped Santa Cruz mountains and the Cullicocha lagune. The route takes 5-6 hours.
Day 5: Osoruri, 4,230 meters. Jancarurish, 4,220 meters. We will conquer the second high pass of Alpamayo, 4,750 meters. We will climb 520 meters in elevation from camp. After the pass we will travel through the Alpamayo ravine, and 2 hours later we will arrive at the Huishash camp. The route takes 4-5 hours.
Day 6: Jancarurish, 4,220 meters. Huilca, 4,180 meters. This is a very important day which will take us to the Caracara Pass, 4,830 meters. We will climb 650 meters in elevation by the time we reach the pass, where we will observe the snowcapped Alpamayo pyramid, 5,947 meters, snowcapped Santa Cruz, 6,259 meters, Quitaraju, 6,036 meters, among others. The route takes 6-7 hours.
Day 7: Huilca, 4,180 meters. Jancapampa, 4,100 meters. We will travel over the Yanacon Pass, 4,700 meters. We will have climbed 520 meters by the time we reach the Pass. After the pass we will descend through the Conchucos valley between trees and pasture. The route takes 5-6 hours.
Day 8: Jancapampa, 4,100 meters. Huecruncocha Lagune, 4,280 meters. We travel through the Cochucos Valley toward the Tupatupa Pass, 4,400 meters. We will climb 300 meters in elevation to the Pass, where we will see the snowcapped Taulliraju, 5,830 meters. After we will arrive at camp near the Lagune. The route takes 6-7 hours.
Day 9: Huecruncocha Lagune, 4,280 meters. Tuctu, 4,000 meters. We will conquer the final high pass of Puca Raju, 4,650 meters. We climb 370 meters in elevation. From the Pass, we will see the following snowcapped mountains: Taulliraju, Chacraraju, Yanapaccha, Contrayervas, among others. The route takes 5-6 hours.
Day 10: Tuctu, 4,000 meters. Taullipampa, 4,250 meters. We will conquer the final Pass, Punta Union, 4,750 meters. We will climb 750 meters in elevation to the Pass, where we will see the entirety of the Santa Cruz valley and the snowcapped mountains already mentioned. We will arrive at camp after 5-6 hours of trekking.
Day 11: Taullipampa, 4,250 meters. Llama Coral, 3,760 meters. The route takes us through the Santa Cruz valley, where we will detour to the Alpamayo lookout to see the following snowcapped mountains: Paria, Artezonraju caraz, Aguja, and Potaca. On the left side and in front of Alpamayo, you will see Quitaraju, and the Arhuaycocha ravine. After looking at these snowcapped mountains, we will continue the hike to the campsite. The total hike takes 5-6 hours.
Day 12: Coral Cashapampa, 2,930 meters. On our last day of trekking, the route will take us by the Yuracmayu river bank until we arrive at Cashapampa, where we will wait for transportation back to Huaraz and to your hotel. When you wish to return to Lima, we will transport you from your hotel to the bus station, at which point our service ends.
